Wexford Town Main Drainage Scheme
T J O’Connor & Associates were engaged by Wexford Borough Council to upgrade the pipe network throughout the town and eliminate the discharge of untreated sewage. A number of separate contracts were undertaken to implement the scheme. These involved the construction of pipelines and ancillary works, pumping stations and an 1800mm to 2100mm diameter interceptor sewer constructed within an 800m long extension to the existing quays with ancillary works under a traditional form of contract.
On these works, T J O Connor & Associates were sole consultants for all stages from detailed design, through traditional procurement and administration of construction contracts.
