Horizon Logistics Park, Dublin Airport

Horizon Logistics Park is located south of the main runway at Dublin Airport and was a joint venture between Dunloe Ewart and Aer Rianta. T.J.O’Connor & Associates were Structural and Civil Engineers for the design of this 80 acre industrial park which incorporates 225,000 sq. ft. of high bay warehousing, access roads, stream diversion, foul sewage pumping station, storm water attenuation and construction of a section of the South Parallel Road.

To date, four of the units, varying in size from 2,500m2 to 8,500m2, have been completed and are occupied by international logistics companies. The warehouses are of single span mansard portal frames construction with feature curved roofs. Typically, there are two storey office buildings adjacent to the warehouses which are constructed with steel frame and precast hollowcore slab. The portal frames are clad with horizontally spanning profiled metal sheeting, while the offices are clad with insulated panels and curtain walling. The warehouse slabs are designed for high bay racking with tolerances to suit narrow-aisle racking layout.
