This project included Master Planning for the future development of approximately 46ha (115 acres) of land located on the western outskirts of Limerick City, adjacent to the Shannon Tunnel and the Limerick Southern Ring Road (Phase II).T.J. O’Connor & Associates are responsible for all engineering aspects of this project including assessing the capability of current infrastructure to cope with the development proposed in the area.

T.J. O’Connor & Associates procured specialist surveys and investigations including archaeology, ecology and aerial topographic surveys. This included a geophysical survey of sites identified as being of particular archaeological sensitivity. The implications of the DoEHLG/OPW “Planning Guidelines for the Planning System and Flood Risk Management” were reported on in the context of low-lying lands.
